Achieving Solace - Focus on Target

Most of us in this world want to achieve something REMARKABLE in our lifetime. 'Remarkable' is very vague and I have used it purposefully. I have noticed different personalities around me chasing totally different dreams. I am sure all of you must have noticed the same. The dreams varies from saving wildlife to building great companies, from becoming an actor to becoming an investment banker, from making ends meet to creating great wealth.

But, at times, you are a butt of jokes for your friends, and peer group for believing in something which seems ‘impossible’ or ‘too absurd’ to them. You start questioning your existence and rationale for doing such things. This is where people lose the plot and fail to realize their dreams. It is about how you handle practical and emotional situations to ACHIEVE SOLACE on the way forward that determines your success in achieving your dream.

Achieving solace is about your self-belief. It seems very unlikely not to get affected by these petty but serious issues. I was also on this intersection of life where I was finding it difficult to move forward. The good news is that it is very easy to overcome such issues. I have come to appreciate a few simple ways to handle such situations in life.

First, never take yourself too seriously. It is always a good sign to be able to laugh at oneself. Second, take one step at a time. It might sound like a cliché but it is true to its meaning. Third, keep believing in your dreams. This can be achieved by rationalizing your mini steps for that dear dream. Last, be persistent with your efforts.

Finally, I would like to say that this is not an advice write-up but rather an honest confession that is helping me immensely in achieving whatever little I am achieving in life.

Always remember – ‘Achieve Solace’. It is the path that matters the most to realize your dreams.
